Performance Engine for founder-led teams

Your team cannot perform clearly if the business only runs inside your head.

We help founder-led businesses turn scattered work into a clear Performance Engine, so people know what to do, what good looks like, and where to improve. Then we automate what is actually ready.

Free 30-minute call. No pitch. We will find the first performance bottleneck together.

This is what founder dependency looks like before anyone names it.

01
Every important decision still comes back to you.
02
Your team is busy, but performance is hard to measure.
03
Processes exist, but they are scattered, outdated, or ignored.
04
Managers ask for clarity because success has never been properly defined.
05
You cannot tell whether problems come from people, process, tools, or priorities.
06
You want to use AI, but you do not trust the workflow enough to automate it.

If this is how the business runs today, adding automation will not fix the operating system. It will expose it.

Our point of view

Automating unclear work just makes the confusion faster.

Most businesses start the AI conversation too late. They ask, "What can we automate?" before they can answer the questions that actually decide whether automation works.

Before AI can create leverage, the work needs to be visible, measurable, and owned. That is what a Performance Engine does.

Answer these before you automate
?Who owns this work?
?What does good look like?
?What decisions should the team make without you?
?Where does the handoff break?
?Which number tells us whether this is working?
The Performance Engine

The operating layer between your strategy and your team's daily work.

Six layers that turn expectations into visible systems.

Roles

Who owns what. Every function and outcome has one clear owner, so nothing routes back to you by default.

Outcome: ownership
Scorecards

What good looks like. Each role has measurable standards and decision rights, not a vague job description.

Outcome: clarity
Workflows

How work moves. Handoffs, inputs, outputs and quality checks, mapped so anyone can see where things stand.

Outcome: consistency
Dashboards

What needs attention. The numbers that matter, visible without chasing anyone for an update.

Outcome: visibility
Cadence

When decisions get made. A weekly rhythm for reviews, priorities and escalations, so issues surface early.

Outcome: momentum
Automation map

What can be safely automated. Every workflow ranked by value, complexity and process readiness.

Outcome: safe automation

It is not a Notion template, an SOP folder, or another dashboard nobody opens. It is the management system that helps people do the right work, in the right way, without everything routing through the founder.

From founder-dependent to system-led.

The Performance Engine does not add more admin. It replaces the invisible system that currently lives in your head.

The flagship engagement

The Performance Engine Sprint

A focused engagement that maps how your business actually runs, defines what good performance looks like, and installs the operating layer your team needs before you scale or automate.

This is not a report. It is the operating layer your team will actually use, built with you in 2 to 4 weeks.

01
Operating map

How the business actually runs: functions, workflows, ownership lines, bottlenecks and founder dependency points.

02
Role scorecards

Purpose, outcomes owned, success measures, decision rights and escalation rules for every key role.

03
Workflow maps

Current state, desired state, handoffs, quality checks and failure points for your core workflows.

04
KPI and visibility layer

The role and team metrics that matter, structured into a dashboard your team will actually use.

05
Operating cadence

Weekly rhythm, one-on-ones, reviews and decision forums, so issues surface before they become fires.

The diagnosis comes first, and it is free. We only recommend the Sprint if the diagnosis shows it will pay for itself.

How we work

How we rebuild the way work runs.

We do not start with tools. We start with how work actually happens.

01Diagnose
Find the real bottleneck

We map where performance is unclear, where the founder is still the glue, and where work gets stuck.

02Design
Define the system

We define roles, success measures, workflows, decision rights, dashboards and review rhythms.

03Install
Make it real

We turn the system into tools your team actually uses: scorecards, operating docs, dashboards and meeting rhythms.

04Automate
Automate what is stable

Once the work is clear, we identify which parts are ready for AI, automation, or tool consolidation.

Who this is for

For founders whose business has outgrown memory-based management.

Good fit
  • Founder-led Australian business with 5 to 30 staff
  • Team performance feels inconsistent, even though people are busy
  • Workflows are repeatable but not clearly owned
  • You are hiring, scaling, stepping back, or preparing to automate
  • You want operating clarity before adding more tools
Not a fit
  • You only want a quick AI tool recommendation
  • You are not ready to change how work is managed
  • You want a strategy deck instead of practical operating assets
  • You have no repeatable workflows yet
Free diagnostics

AI-Ready Workflow Score

What exactly is a Performance Engine?

It is the operating layer between your strategy and your team's daily work: clear roles, measurable scorecards, visible workflows, simple dashboards, a weekly operating rhythm, and a ranked map of what is ready to automate.

It is not a template or a folder of SOPs. It is the management system that lets your team run without everything routing through you.

We came here for AI help. Is that still what you do?

Yes, and we are good at it. We build automations, AI workflows and internal agents. The difference is sequence: we make the work clear first, then automate the parts that are actually ready.

Automating unclear work does not create leverage. It creates faster confusion. If your workflows are already clear, we can move straight to the AI-ready work.

What happens on the free diagnosis call?

It is a 30-minute conversation about how your business actually runs. We look at where performance is unclear, where decisions get stuck, and where you are still acting as the operating system.

No prep required. You will leave with a clear next step, even if we never work together.

How much does it cost to work with you?

Enough context to self-qualify:

  • The Performance Engine Diagnosis is free.
  • The Performance Engine Sprint starts from $3,500.
  • The Performance Engine Build starts from $7,500.
  • Automation buildouts are scoped after the OS work, from $2,000.
  • The Operating Partner retainer starts from $2,500 per month.

We will always be upfront about pricing before you commit to anything.

How long does the Sprint take?

2 to 4 weeks depending on team size and how many core workflows we map. It is designed to run alongside normal operations, with a small number of structured working sessions rather than endless meetings.

We already have SOPs and a Notion. Why is that not enough?

SOPs describe tasks. They do not define who owns outcomes, what good performance looks like, which decisions the team can make without you, or when work gets reviewed.

That is why businesses with beautiful documentation still route everything through the founder. The Performance Engine adds the missing layers: ownership, standards, visibility and cadence.

What size businesses do you work with?

Founder-led Australian businesses, typically 5 to 30 staff. That is the window where middle layers start forming, the founder loses line of sight, and memory-based management stops working.

If you run repeatable workflows with a team, there is almost certainly something worth fixing.

Are you aligned with any particular tools or vendors?

No. We are fully independent, with no referral arrangements or commissions. We build on the stack you already have where possible: Notion, ClickUp, Airtable, Google Workspace, Slack, or your CRM.
