Founder and operator story

Operator first. Systems builder second. AI practitioner third.

I have spent ten years inside real operations: scaling teams, managing a P&L, leading global delivery, building a business with my wife and putting AI into live workflows. The System Folks is built from that experience.

Experience to capability

What I ran. What it taught me. Why it matters now.

Company names and numbers only tell part of the story. The useful question for a client is what those environments taught me to see, build and improve.

01

Bolt

Driver operations during rapid marketplace growth

Responsibility

Scaled driver operations while the operating environment, demand and frontline needs kept changing.

Why it matters to clients

Helps growing teams replace informal coordination with clearer ownership, handoffs and operating routines.

02

Neuron Mobility

City-wide operations with a $12M P&L

Responsibility

Managed commercial performance, people, service quality and the daily operating system behind a live city operation.

Why it matters to clients

Brings financial and operational accountability into the same system, so improvements connect to a real business result.

03

Puggle Adventure

Founder-led ecommerce business built from zero

Responsibility

Built the business with my wife across suppliers, customer experience, fulfilment and the decisions that initially ran through us.

Why it matters to clients

Creates a practical understanding of founder dependency, limited capacity and the realities of improving a small business while running it.

Why it matters to clients

Connects AI capability to the workflow design, adoption and human judgement required for a team to use it reliably.

Two lessons behind The System Folks

Founder experience made the problem personal. AI made the sequence clearer.

Founder lessonPuggle Adventure

Founder dependency stopped being an abstract problem.

Every supplier issue, quality check and customer decision initially ran through us. Puggle grew from zero to $70K in first-year revenue, but growth also exposed how much context and authority still lived with the founders.

The lesson

A business needs more than documentation. The team needs enough context, ownership and authority to keep work moving.

AI lessonAskable

The best automation started before the model was chosen.

A production AI system compressed a multi-week bottleneck into a 2 to 5 minute check. The result came from understanding the workflow, inputs, quality standard and human review point first.

The lesson

AI compounds a clear workflow. Applied to unclear work, it only makes the confusion move faster.

What clients can expect

Operator judgement, translated into practical systems.

The experience matters only if it changes the quality of the work clients receive.

  1. 01

    Diagnosis before tools

We find the operating constraint before recommending automation, AI or another platform.

  2. 02

    Systems built for real work

Recommendations have to survive existing tools, live workloads and the people expected to use them.

  3. 03

    Commercial judgement

The work connects operating improvements to cost, capacity, quality or a decision the business needs to make.

  4. 04

    Capability stays with the team

The goal is a team that can run and improve the system without permanent dependence on an outside adviser.

  5. 05

    Honest about fit

If a free resource, internal fix or different specialist is the better path, we will say so clearly.

The principle

Make the work clear first. Apply AI where it is ready.

The best systems are built close to the work. That is the foundation of The System Folks and the standard every engagement has to meet.
